Pad Thai
Ingredients ( people)
- 450 gr Flat rice noodles
- 82 gr Sunflower oil
- 6 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 450 gr Shrimp
- 4 pieces Eggs
- 200 gr Bean sprouts
- 2 pieces Red bell pepper (Thinly sliced)
- 6 pieces Green onions (Chopped)
- 150 gr Roasted peanuts
- 4 pieces Lime
- 16 gr Cilantro
- 90 gr Fish sauce
- 34 gr Soy sauce
- 60 gr Brown sugar
- 58 gr Tamarind paste
- 38 gr Sriracha hot sauce
- 60 gr Peanut butter
Steps
- Make the sauce by combining the following ingredients in a bowl: Fish sauce, Soy sauce, Brown sugar, Tamarind paste, Sriracha sauce, peanut butter
- Cook the noodles. They should still be a bit chewy. It should take between 1 and 3 minutes. Immediately after cooking them, rinse with cold water. This prevents them from continuing to soften.
- Heat about 3/4ths of the oil in a pan.
- Add shrimp, garlic, bell pepper. Cook it for a few minutes.
- Make some space in the pan. Add the rest of the oil. Add the eggs and scramble them.
- Add the noodles and pour the sauce over them to loosen them up again. Add the bean sprouts.
- Cook a bit more until everything is heated up and the bean sprouts have softened
- Garnish with some green onions, chopped peanuts, cilantro and drizzle some lime juice over it.
